irish elopement

We can’t help but smile when we look back over the moments from this Irish Elopement. It was an celebration day filled with so much joy. Fatimae and Jeff had explained that they didn’t want the fuss that big wedding brings, they wanted something more intimate and personal. When Michelle from Waterlily weddings introduced us to the couple she told us that this elopement was to be a surprise so we have kept it under wraps till now that is. Our beautiful couple together with their adorable kids traveled to the west of Ireland to say their vows. Unusually it was cracker of a day, blinding sunshine in Ireland… who knew! Dara, the celtic Monk blessed the couple with Earth, Fire and Water as is the tradition before he bound their together. The proceedings were closely monitored by River, who ensured that everyone was on their best behaviour for his parents. After the ceremony the sunshine was blinding so it was decided that we would all head back to Gregans castle for a picnic before we headed to the coast for some portraits. It was a delightful few hours on the lawn, playing catch, chatting and eating some seriously beautiful food while basking in the sunshine. With out bellies full and spirits high we headed off to the coast to get some last portraits before we said good bye to this truly beautiful couple.
