Sean and Kate Best of 2018

We know, half way through 2019 and here we are doing our Sean and Kates Best of 2018

This year, for our annual few weeks off, we decided to stay put at home. We had talked about camping in New Zealand or heading back and driving the east coast of America. In the end we ended up wondering what would happen if we did nothing. Like not a staycation. Just sitting at home and letting our minds wander. Not going to lie. We are so focused on work, its taken more than two weeks to be okay with chilling on our bottoms and not turning on phones to check emails or panic because we have forgotten to schedule a social media post. To not feel guilty when we binge watch movies. To not feel like you have to pay back the time to work from time off enjoying, life.

We always thought that we had a work life balance sorted. In most respects we have. But I think what this years adventure of daily beach walks has really shown us that we still get to caught up in trying to get the best, be the best, when we just need to be. It’s that simple.

Its okay to power down the phone and not be available. Not answerable. It’s okay to chose to spend hours in the garden covered in bugs and mud instead of doing a blog post, instead of trying to compete, to be seen or coming up with a new business strategy. It is okay not to be on… ALL THE TIME.

It’s okay to just be.

When you just do you, you fall in love all over again. With everything. With each other. With yourself. With your Job. With your achievements.

Life becomes simpler. Easier, the way it should be.

After copious amounts of tea and fruit juice laden conversations, we decided to stream line everything we do from now on. There will be massive changes coming and very soon. Mostly, we will be going back to basics and we could not be more excited.

Part of the Mi Wadi drenched process involved looking back over our images from our couples best days last year and we could not be more grateful or feel more loved up reliving the memories. There is not enough space in a blog or time in a slide show to show all the vibes from last year. But we hope that you will enjoy reliving some of these moments as much as we are ready and looking forward to all that is yet to come from here on in.

Like our couples here. Just be.
